Lancing flower club has been in existence for the past 66 years. We meet every month on the third Monday afternoon at 2:30 pm currently in the Methodist Church Hall. For our '65 + 1'st anniversary we all had tea and watched a demonstration of designs through the years from 1956. There are also two socials in July and November. A warm welcome is extended to all those who enjoy flowers and arranging them, and also to those who want to be sociable and extend their friendship group.
We watch demonstrations of flower arranging, and have a 'PRACTICE' class of our own. At most demonstrations we have a competition for members, with around 8 to 10 entries, which is judged by the demonstrator. Every 15 months we put on a show which has around 40 exhibits and our members can also become involved with our Sussex NAFAS Area shows, exhibitions and festivals. There are also arranged visits to gardens in the area. The ‘WHATS NEW’ page shows what we have done recently and the 'GALLERY' page some of the many arrangements.
Every session provides an opportunity to meet new people and chat whilst we have tea and biscuits and on three sessions we have a social meal – a tea, a buffet and a lunch.
If you would like to visit or join our club please come along to one of our monthly meetings, see the ‘PROGRAMME’ page, or contact us via the ‘CONTACT US’ page.
Our Club is one of the 47 flower clubs in The Sussex Area of NAFAS which is one of the 21 Areas affiliated to NAFAS (National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies)
